New Alan Vega releases
There will a few copies available via mail order and specialist stores of a very limited one sided promo 12” single featuring two tracks alan recorded last year with A.R.E. Weapons (xx.com)

It is now confirmed that Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon, France will present a major retrospective of Alan’s visual art.
This will be the largest show of Alan’s work to date and includes light sculptures, drawings, collages and a brand new major piece – Vega’s largest to date.
To celebrate the Museum will also produce later in the year a hard bound colour catalouge.

The exhibition will run from 15th May to 2nd August 2009 and was curated by Mathieu Copeland

The dynamic duo have finally agreed after many many requests to perform their entire legendary, genre making, punk rocker quaking first album for the first time ever at All Tomorrows Parties USA (atpfestival.com) 11th to 13th September 2009 as part of their “Don’t Look Back” series.
The festival is headlined by Flaming Lips who covered Suicide’s “Ice Drummer” some years back.
If the boys enjoy the experience there are already invitations to play London, Paris, Rome, Berlin & Los Angeles but don’t count your chickens yet!
There are also ongoing discussions with Mute Records “Blast First” label to re-master the album (last re-issued 10 years ago) and re-release it combined with a DVD of an early Suicide concert filmed in new york.
Marty Rev revisited the recordings and believes he has uncovered in the archives the definative version of the album.
By the way lets not forget Marty Rev turned sixty this year
He celebrated by releasing a new solo album “Les Nymphes”

The new live set is based around Alan's new album, "Station",
his hardest, heaviest album for quite a while, all self-played and produced.
